Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 27, 2026
Last updated: June 27, 2026

This Privacy Policy is written in plain language to satisfy U.S. consumer-privacy expectations (including the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act), TCPA/SMS, CAN-SPAM, and the major ad-platform (Google, Meta) data-use disclosure requirements. It is informational and is not legal advice.

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how First Response Pest (“First Response Pest,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit https://911pest.org/ (the “Site”), request a quote, book service, communicate with us, or use our pest control services (collectively, the “Services”).

Not affiliated with emergency services. First Response Pest is a private pest control company. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to 911, police, fire departments, EMS, first responders, or any government agency. References to “First Response” and the “911 Pest Control” brand describe our brand only.

By using the Site or Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or Services.

2. Scope

This policy applies to information we collect:

  • On the Site and through our quote, estimate, and booking tools;
  • Through phone calls, text messages, and emails with us;
  • In the course of providing pest control services at your property; and
  • From third parties, such as advertising and analytics partners.

It does not apply to third-party websites or services we do not control (see “Third-party links”).

3. Information we collect

Information you provide to us. When you request a quote, use the instant estimate tool, book a job, or contact us, we may collect:

  • Contact details: name, phone number, email address.
  • Location details: ZIP code, street/service address, city, and state.
  • Property and job details: service type requested, property type (residential/commercial), surface materials, square footage or job size, number of stories, condition/severity, stains, and any notes you provide.
  • Photos and media you upload of your property or surfaces so we can prepare an estimate (see “AI-assisted photo estimates”).
  • Scheduling details: preferred dates/times and appointment information.
  • Communications: the content of messages, calls, texts, and emails you exchange with us, and your customer-service history.
  • Consent records: your consent choices, together with a timestamp, the page/form used, your IP address, and browser/user-agent string, which we keep as a record of consent.

Payment information. When you pay a deposit or for services, payment is processed by our third-party payment processor, Stripe. We do not collect or store full card numbers on our servers. Stripe collects and processes your payment-card or digital-wallet information (including Apple Pay / Google Pay) under its own privacy policy. We may receive limited transaction information such as confirmation, amount, the last four digits of a card, and payment status.

Information we collect automatically. When you use the Site, we and our analytics/advertising partners may automatically collect:

  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, pages viewed, links and buttons clicked, scroll depth, referring/exit pages, and timestamps.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: see “Cookies, analytics, and advertising”.
  • Marketing/attribution identifiers: advertising click identifiers and campaign parameters (for example, gclid, wbraid, gbraid, fbclid, and UTM parameters) that help us understand which ad or campaign brought you to the Site. These may be stored in first-party cookies.

Information from third parties. We may receive information about you from advertising and analytics platforms (such as Google and Meta), including conversion and measurement data; service providers that help us operate; and publicly available sources, such as map and business-listing data. We do not knowingly collect Social Security numbers, government ID numbers, precise biometric data, or other sensitive categories of personal information through the Site.

4. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Prepare quotes and estimates, including photo-based estimates;
  • Schedule, confirm, perform, and follow up on pest control services;
  • Process payments and deposits and apply credits;
  • Contact you about your request, appointment, and service updates by phone, text, and email;
  • Provide customer support and respond to your questions;
  • Send appointment reminders, confirmations, and calendar invitations;
  • With your separate opt-in, send marketing messages such as offers and seasonal reminders;
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site and Services;
  • Measure and improve our advertising and marketing, including measuring conversions and building audiences;
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, spam, abuse, and security issues; and
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

Legal bases (where applicable): we process personal information to perform our contract with you (provide quotes/services), with your consent (marketing texts/emails, certain cookies), for our legitimate business interests (improving and securing the Services, measuring advertising), and to comply with law.

5. AI-assisted photo estimates (automated processing)

To give you a fast price estimate, our estimate tool may use automated and artificial-intelligence (AI) technology to analyze the photos and job details you submit. Photos and the structured details you provide may be sent to AI service providers (currently OpenAI and/or Anthropic) solely to generate a preliminary estimate of the work involved.

  • These estimates are preliminary and informational. Final pricing is confirmed by a person before work begins, especially for larger or specialty jobs (full homes, roofs, heavy algae, large driveways, commercial, or multi-surface work).
  • We instruct these providers to process the content to return an estimate; we do not authorize them to use your photos to identify you.
  • You can always skip the photo tool and request a quote directly by phone, text, or email.

If you would prefer that we not use automated photo analysis for your request, contact us and we will provide a manual estimate instead.

6. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only as described below. Service providers / processors who perform functions on our behalf, under contracts that limit their use of your information, include:

  • Stripe — payment processing;
  • Twilio — text messaging (SMS) and call delivery;
  • Resend — transactional and notification email delivery;
  • OpenAI / Anthropic — AI-assisted photo estimates;
  • Google — maps/address lookup (Google Places), website analytics, advertising measurement, and reviews;
  • Meta (Facebook/Instagram) — advertising and conversion measurement;
  • Hostinger / our web host and WordPress infrastructure — hosting and operating the Site.

Advertising and analytics partners for measurement and optimization. To measure conversions and reduce duplicate data, we may share hashed (obscured) identifiers such as a hashed email or phone number, along with event and value data, with Google (Enhanced Conversions) and Meta (Conversions API). These are designed so partners cannot read your raw contact details. We may also share information with professional advisors (such as lawyers, accountants, and insurers) as needed; for legal and safety reasons (to comply with law, legal process, or government requests; to enforce our terms; and to protect the rights, property, or safety of our customers, the public, or us); and in connection with a business transfer (merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets).

7. Text messaging (SMS) program — your consent and choices

When you submit a form or otherwise provide your phone number, you agree that First Response Pest may contact you about your quote request, scheduling, and related service updates by text message. These are service messages tied to your active request.

  • Marketing texts (offers and seasonal reminders) are sent only if you separately opt in. Consent to receive marketing texts is not required to request a quote or purchase services.
  • Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
  • Opt out at any time by replying STOP to a text. Reply HELP for help. You may still receive service messages needed to complete an active request or job unless you ask us not to contact you by text.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

We handle SMS consent in accordance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and applicable rules. We do not share your mobile opt-in or phone number with third parties for their own marketing.

8. Email communications — your choices

We send transactional emails (quotes, confirmations, reminders, receipts) related to your requests and jobs. With your consent, we may also send marketing emails. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in the email or by contacting us. We will still send necessary transactional emails about your active requests or jobs. We honor CAN-SPAM requirements, including a valid postal address and a working opt-out in marketing emails.

9. Cookies, analytics, and advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember your choices, measure performance, and support advertising.

  • Essential cookies keep the Site working and remember your privacy choices.
  • Analytics (for example, Google Analytics 4 / Google tag, and Google Tag Manager) help us understand how visitors use the Site, including engagement such as clicks, scroll depth, and form interactions.
  • Advertising (for example, Google Ads and the Meta Pixel) help us measure ad performance and reach relevant audiences.

Consent controls. We use Google Consent Mode and a cookie banner. Until you accept, analytics and advertising storage are limited. You can change your choice using the banner, your browser settings, or by clearing cookies. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies; doing so may affect Site functionality.

10. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access / know what personal information we hold about you;
  • Correct inaccurate personal information;
  • Delete your personal information;
  • Obtain a copy / portability of your personal information;
  • Opt out of targeted advertising, the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, and certain profiling;
  • Withdraw consent to marketing communications at any time; and
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.

Virginia residents (VCDPA). If you are a Virginia resident, the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act gives you the rights to confirm, access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of your personal data, and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale of personal data, and certain profiling. We do not sell personal data for money. To appeal a decision about a privacy request, reply to our response or contact us using the details below; if we deny your appeal, you may contact the Virginia Attorney General.

How to exercise your rights. Submit a request using the contact details below. We will verify your request (for example, by confirming details associated with your account or request) before acting, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows.

11. Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, complete jobs, process payments, maintain business and tax records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations. Consent records and transaction records may be retained longer to demonstrate compliance. Photos submitted for estimates are retained for the period needed to prepare and document the job and are then deleted or archived according to our standard schedule. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

12. Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and trusted processors for payments and messaging. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please contact us immediately if you believe your information has been compromised.

13. Children's privacy

The Site and Services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

14. Third-party links

The Site may link to third-party websites or services (for example, payment, mapping, calendar, or social platforms). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. Review their privacy policies before providing information.

15. "Do Not Track"

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. Because there is no common industry standard for DNT, the Site does not currently respond to DNT signals. We do honor recognized opt-out preference signals where required by law.

16. Where your information is processed

We operate in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and elsewhere. By using the Services, you understand your information may be processed in the U.S.

17. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Site or Services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
